I got the 8 X 8 pop up tent because it is the right size for my deck. I wanted to see how it held up when it rained and it really did good. The top of the tent is water proof and it didn't leak. The rain you will get it from the sides since it is netting. So far good at keeping the bugs out. I was having trouble finding a pop up tent that had netting for sides. I tied the sides, top and bottom to the deck to keep it in place.
